We ran to get to Paracas Nacional Park in Peru before the sunset. The taxi cab driver with us wanted to help and he skirted the entrance of the park even though it was closed. We made it just in time to see what Peruvians call the Playa Roja, the Red Beach. You can see why. The cliffs turn this fiery red as the sun sets over the Pacific, and when you are there it is magic.
