Greetings from the Himalayas!

We’ll soon begin our journey to Buddha’s birthplace, Lumbini and continue across rough road into Chitwan National Park in search of elephants, rhinos and crocodiles. Then, finally, onto the storied city of Kathmandu, gateway to the high Himalayas and Mt Everest.

Wanted to come ever since I first heard this Bob Seeger song in 1975. “I'm goin’ to Kathmandu! That’s where I’m really going to. If I ever get out of her, I’m going to Kathmandu!” Listen to the song below. It’s great!
