Hello from the giant caves of Phong Cha-Ke Bang. We drifted in through a massive opening in the limestone, watching the jungle disappear as the ceilings climbed into the dark. We eventually hopped off the boat to explore the deeper chambers on foot, and the scale of the place is just staggering — a massive, damp cathedral of rock that feels completely indifferent to humans. Even with the crowds, there’s a heavy, prehistoric stillness here that makes you feel tiny. You spend the whole walk craning your neck, trying to process these glittering, jagged formations that have been sitting here in the damp quiet for millions of years. More to come!

Crack on!
