Day 579 Stalden (VS)
A Work Day at the Stalden Inn
Today is a work day. We are now in the little Swiss town of Stalden, having driven there the previous evening. The Stalden Inn is just what the doctor ordered with and excellent breakfast and fine restaurant across from our room.
I awake to the sound of children, their voices lively and excited with the same high pitched excitement that children everywhere have. I peek out of the hotel window to see a group of these Lilliputians marching along in colorful tassel caps, heavy snow pants, brightly colored jackets, and fur lined boots. It's a chilly April day – 45° and mist and light rain fill the valley between this little enclave and Jura Plateau of southern Germany.
Mostly today we work, but, at the insistence of the charming owner of the hotel and restaurant, decide we must explore the little town nearby of Bremgarten for an hour or so.
