Chip’s Notes
There is nothing quite like Huacachino. A true oasis. Something out of an old movie. It’s a charming plaza of simple restaurants, where a few stores surround the lake where local tourists paddle and splash. Above, the dunes soar. Parasailers hover overhead, surfers ride the sand and beyond the high hills dune buggies bounce and roar. I hiked a couple of hundred feet up to dunes to watch the sunset. And it was something to see.
