Chip’s Notes

I can’t say enough about this experience. This ship takes passengers on a unique voyage from Punta Arenas, through the Tierra del Fuego to the very tip of South America for debarkation at Cape Horn. During the four days you’ll pass through a gallery of stunning fjords and glaciers before arriving in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in South America. The crew was excellent and among the highlights are the fellow passengers you meet. Each day you are also provided Zodiac excursions and hikes (easy, middling difficult, difficult) between excellent breakfasts, lunches and dinners and regular talks on the region and history. This is a place where Charles Darwin spent plenty of time. You can follow the details of the Australis Voyage in the Vagabond Journal. Start here.
