Chip’s Notes
La Pilarica is a place usually frequented by the fishermen and women who come to fly fish the nearby Carrileufu river - just one of the many nearby. The hostel is a bit out of the way, 10 miles of passage across dirt roads to get there. It was built around twenty years ago by the owners Bill and Vivian who still run the place today. They’re a warm couple who are happy to talk and share stories about Bill’s grandfather hauling wool to the Atlantic coast.
